It’s shaping up to be a banner weekend in the Nordic Bloc, with Denmark picking their performer for Baku, Iceland holding their second Semifinal, and Norway kicking off their selection with the first Semifinal of Melodi Grand Prix. Out of the more than 800 songs submitted to broadcaster NRK, twenty-four lucky songs will be split into three semis, and the top three acts from each event will qualify for the Final on February 11 in Oslo. The first Semifinal will be held in Brekstad (near Trondheim) this Saturday.
The eight songs competing this week are:
- Irresistible feat. Carlprit – “Elevator“
- Kim André Rysstad – “Så vidunderlig“
- Reidun Sæther – “High on Love“

- Lisa Stokke – “With Love“
