One more Star Eliminated in Germany

We’re getting closer to finding Germany’s next Eurovision Star, meaning that one more candidate has been cut from the list of ProSieben’s talent search “Unser Star für Baku”.  We’re getting down to the wire; after tonight’s show, only five names are left in the search to find out who will fill Lena Meyer-Landrut’s shoes.

After another close vote, we say goodbye to Céline Huber, who performed a cover of Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette“.

Remaining on in the competition are (in order of tonight’s result):

  1. Roman Lob – “Drive
  2. Shelly Phillips – “I Try
  3. Yana Gercke – “We Found Love
  4. Katja Petri – “Certain Someone
  5. Ornella de Santis – “You Are the Sunshine of my Life

For those of you who have been keeping track, Roman Lob has been in the lead for every single televote (both for the running order as well as the results) with the exception of his first heat, where he came in second, and he is the only remaining male left in the competition.  Is the result of this show a foregone conclusion?  We’ll find out more on Thursday, when we’ll have USFB’s quarterfinal.
