Cyprus has decided: it’s “La La Love”!
Way back in August, Cypriot broadcaster CyBC announced that they had selected Ivi Adamou to carry their banner to Baku. Earlier this month, three candidate songs were revealed for the teenager from Ayia Napa. And tonight, we finally have an answer to the long-standing question: what will Ivi sing?
Well, after a show in Nicosia (a relative marathon, as it was over 90 minutes long for a National Final comprising only three songs!) we finally have a winner. A 50/50 jury/televote split has decided that “La La Love” will be performed in Baku this May, having received maximum points from both the jury and the public vote. Here’s today’s performance of the song, written by Alex Papaconstantinou, Björn Djupström, Alexandra Zakka, and Viktor Svensson.

She’s cute and it’s catchy. May do well.
Really hope this gets Cyprus back into the final; they deserve a good result; and the song is definitely catchy à la Hungary 2011. Will it do well…. Hmmm… stil not sure. But theyre definitely in with a shot 🙂
She should be in the final. The choice was the expected one, though I find the song too predictible compared to “call the police” that has more ups and downs in its melody.
By the way, I find her very professional on stage, and she manages to sing live well, although dance songs are often disappointing when sung live (to my mind).Good luck !
